Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
car contract
My fiance & a man made a contract to pay the man's car payments every month and once the payments were made he would sign over the title to us. We finished paying off the car in Dec. 2007 and now he wants us to pay him $1200 for insurance that he had on the car and then he would sign over the title, do we legally have to pay him the $1200 since we were never covered under his insurance? Thank you so much for your time.

Re: car contract
It depends on what your contract with him was. If it was not in writing, it will be difficult to prove.
