car lease

i leased a car for 3 years, if i die after one year, is my wife libel for th balance of the lease?

No, unless she co-signed. When you die, your estate is liable for the lease. In other words, any assets that you have in your name will have to be used to pay the car lease. Otherwise, the company that holds the loan will be able to repossess the car and sue your estate for the balace remaining on the lease minus whatever they get for the car.
