Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

car lease terms

I bought a car on Saturday and was convinced by the dealer that lease terms would be the best way to get the car that I wanted. I took the car and signed all the paperwork. I have since found out that it would be better and even cheaper to have purchased the car. It hasn't been 3 days yet and I want to keep the car. But I would like to renegotiate the contract from a lease to a buy. Is there a buyers remorse contingent that allows for this?

Re: car lease terms

read your contract. if there is a buyers remorse clause it will be in the contract. i do not believe one exists. usually, they are associated when sales are made at your home, not when you go to a place of business (where you can leave at any time). Even if it isn't in the contract, go back to the dealer immediately and see if you can switch to a purchase. Even if he does not need to allow this, he may do so anyway . . . . . after all -- he wants you to buy your next car there. Be nice.
