Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
New car problem! !
I just bought a new Lincoln Continental ,2002 with 14 miles.
On Sunday I noticed some small scratches on body and interior leather. The dealership fixed the body scratches , but now the salesman says they can't fix the scratches in interior leather, ( although he said they could on Sunday).
The salesman suggested writing up a ticket stating imperfections on leather , so that if in the future these scratches get worse they Will fix them then. I am furious! I bought a brand new car and expect it to be PERFECT!
I am going to the dealer Today to pick up car ( i just paid for a sunroof and new tires). Can I return the car today will be exactly three days since I bought it. What does the Florida consumer law say on such a large $$$ purchase.?

The 3 day rule is a common misconception. It developed during the days of door-to-door solicitations. That is not to say one does not exist in your case, however I know of no statutory 3 day right of recission that would apply to your facts. The only three day rule that I am aware of applies to home financing, certain attorney agreements where the collection is contingent on the outcome, and door-to-door sales. Therefore, unless the contract specifically provides for a 3 day right of recission, I know of no law which would entitle you to rescind the contract. Should you need attorney involvement to write a letter, to compel compliance with your warranty please let me know.
