Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Using CD Music
Can I use the songs from a cd that I purchased as background music for a picture montage that I am putting together? The pictures are of family and friends, and I will charge my customer approx $30.00 for the completed project.

Re: Using CD Music
Unless you own the rights to the songs, there is a possibility that you could face challenges from the real owners of the rights. If this were for personal use it would likely not be a problem. However, it sounds like you are marketing and selling the final project.
I suggest you consult a Copyright attorney or at least do some internet research on the subject. There is also "free" music available if you are just looking for generic canned music. Otherwise you may have to buy a license to use the music you want.
