Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Cell phone bought off ebay - no refund given
I bought a cell phone off ebay using paypal as method of payment. The cell phone was different from what the seller described on the auction page so I opened a claim at paypal to get my money back. I won the case and paypal asked me to send them the tracking information and ship the item back to the seller.
Well, I did what paypal asked me to but after three days I shipped the cell phone back to the seller, paypal sends me an email telling me that the tracking information I provided was invalid. After a lot of emails and phone calls to paypal, I figured out paypal wouldn't help me anymore. I tried to email the seller as well but he never answers back. What should I do?

Re: Cell phone bought off ebay - no refund given
You should verify why the tracking info was incorrect and try to correct, then determine whether the refund was dependent on you sending the phone back. Try to get in contact with a rep from paypal for assistance.
If the method for shipping was determinative of receiving the refund and you did not comply then you may be out of options.
