Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

I've been cheated and mis-treated

My daughter was recently involved in a Debutante Cotillion. Each Debutante had to raise at least $1,000 by selling ads for the souvenir booklet or selling tickets to the event. At the cotillion, I noticed that 6 of my daughters ads (including mine)were omitted. I let the chairperson know and was assured the issue would be resolved. The next day she apologized and said the foundation couldnt give me a refund, but they could give her the $558.00 (total cost of the omitted ads) in the form of a scholarship. I said that would be fine only if they would send a letter to the people I sold the ads explaining what the foundation had planned to do. Days went by and I didn't hear anything from her, so I called to find out the status. She then turned the tables and said that I never sent her the ads. The instructions were to e-mail the ads to her and this is exactly what I did. As a backup I also e-mailed her a log of all the ads I sold. I have solid proof that she received the ads. I have tried to resolve this issue with her. I have also gone to the President of the foundation to no avail. Can I sue the foundation or do the people who purchased the omitted ads (which I'm one of them) have to sue?

Only those that bought the ad would have a claim. They probably don't care, though. MOst people that buy those ads are really only doing it to support the child for the event, as opposed to the ad value.
