Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Consumer law
My auto mechanic was working on my 66 Mustang. Were repairing my driver side window which would not rollup I instructed them not to leave it in rain they agreed. Parts got to my house via UPS I rushed them to shop it was POURING rain.I dropped off parts and saw my car wasn't inside.I drove around the back of shop and saw my car in the rain. I saw one of their guys run out & pull it in. It had been raining for about 2 hours. I called the shop and asked why the car was outside in the rain. I was told ''sorry'' and owner would call me later. I picked up car after 4 days and they had it outside with all doors and windows open.Interior was soaked. According to owner they wet vac'd car. The paint was covered with water spots also.I Paid $678 on AMEX for their service. Spots will not buff out. Owner sent me to detailer he uses, he paid $116 for the service. Spots still won't come out. He sent me to autobody shop he uses. The autobody shop owner says the paintjob was cheap, and it needs new paintjob. Owner offered $200 toward a new paintjob or his service. I am considering a small claim suit or stopping the AMEX payment.

Re: Consumer law
Go with small claims court. Obviously the car will need a new paint job.
