Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Contract Broken
My sister she bought a car about 2 weeks ago. A few days ago she got a nail in the tire. So she went back to the dealership because her contract says she has coverage of tire damage. Anyhow when she got there, the people at the dealership said that they couldn't find her name in the database. Then she went back saturday to speak the man who sold her the car and when she saw him he said that her education loan was denied and her rate would go from 9% to 12% and her monthly price would change because she has something on her credit. But the dealership knew that she had it on her credit before they sold her the car. The dealership tried to make her sign a new contract, what should she do?

Re: Contract Broken
LOOK AT HER CONTRACT with the car dealership. I doubt that it has a provision that allows them to change the rate. Ask them to show where the contract that she already signed requires her to sign a new contract. If they can't show you, then stick with the one she signed and make them livce up to it as well.
