Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Contract with cable service

I live in a home. I had residental cable internet service thru time warner cable. I bought 2 xbox's and needed to have 2 ip addresses. I contact Time warner who told me residental service did not provide 2 ip address but I would have to have a commerical account. The rep told me to create a bogus company name and he would sign me up. When he asked how many years I read on the internet 1 year contract 99 install fee waived. So I signed up for 3 years even tho the price was the same as a 1 year contract. Anyways time warner has merged to comcast in my area. The salesman says that the contract is still legal under comcast and I can't get out of it and have to pay the full amount of the contract. I told him that comcast offers residental customers multiple ip address and that this was not an option with time warner and they i want to downgrade. There is no buisness as its my home. Can anything be done? Is the contract legal even tho the buisness is fake? Any help would be great.

Re: Contract with cable service

You could have an attorney contact them and try to explain that a fraudulent contract is not binding. Let me know.
