Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
contract cancellations
I have a contract that I wish to cancel. The contract says I can do this within 72 hours via certified letter. The contract was signed on Sunday. Does the certified letter have to arrive there by Wed or just be post marked by Wedneasday?

Re: contract cancellations
Typically, you need it to be mailed by the three day period -- but look at the contract to see.
In any event, regardless of what it says, you should fax the letter as well as send it by the certified mail rout. Faxing it insures that they receive notice immediately and you can keep the transnission report.
