Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Contract Dispute
We were recently married and had paid a wedding planner $3500.00 for services. The amount was agreed upon and she accepted payment, although no contract was ever signed. She is now trying to charge us an additional $600.00 and is threatening to sue us in small claims court if we do not pay. Does she have a case?

Re: Contract Dispute
Based only on the facts that you provided, I can only say that it would be a difficult case for the wedding planner, since the wedding planner is in the business of planning weddings and should have had a contract prepared so that everyone understood their obligations before the job was started. Good luck and congratulations on the wedding.
