Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Contractual Issue
I purchased a vehicle on 3/31. My credit report was pulled onsite by the dealership. My finances were also disclosed in advance. The delaership called on 4/4 and said I needed to return the vehicle because they are unable to get financing due to the fact that I currently have 2 other vehicles financed to me. Otherwise my only other option would be to bring in $5000 for an additional down payment. I have read the contract and can not find anywhere where they have the right to take back the vehicle. It was known in advance that I had 2 vehicles already financed. I was under the impression that after 72 hours it was a binding contract and they had to adhere to it. Can they do this? Can they demand the vehicle back or additional monies?

Re: Contractual Issue
If it is not in your contract, they should not have the right to do so. Ask them what clause of the agreement they rely on. They will point it out if it exists.
