Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
copy right
I went to a store and saw a painting that I liked but could not afford it, so I went home and painted it myself. I have now decided to start selling my art. I put the picture of the painting I tried to replicate and compared it to mine on my website. Is this a copy right issue? I am telling people that I can paint them something similar to what they see in a store just for a lot less... thanks, Ashley

Re: copy right
You should have a copyright attorney view your work in comparison to the original to determine whether you are copying the original or really making your own work inspired by the original. If you are violating the original work, then you should get permission to make copies by way of a license from the owner.
