Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Court Representation
I have a friend who is giving me Power of Attorney. I do not practice law; however, I am a political activist and have worked with several grassroots movement in the human rights area. She would like me to represent her in court where she is being sued by a creditor. She cannot afford an attorney. I am familiar with the tactics fo Collection agencies. Am I able to help her? Is there any other options? What do you suggest?

Re: Court Representation
Nope . . . . a power of attorney does not mean that you can represent her or perform as an attorney. ONLY a licensed attorney may do so.
