a credit card company is trying or claiming to sue my wife for unpayed debt of 6k we were trying to negotiate or settle for 4k they said ok are they bluffing with a suit or can they actually sue a person

Yes. Credit card companies can sue for the amount owed. However, if you already had a settlement for $4,000 in writing, that could stand in their way. Also, remember that a consumer law attorney can help you fight off credit card collections and lawsuits.
