Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Customer threatening lawsuit - LLC disolving

We are a service provider and have a

customer threatening a lawsuit

under the Florida Deceptive and

Unfair Trade practices. We have no

assets and owe no money and we are

in the process of shutting down our

business and disolving our LLC.

If we move forward with the

dissolution could we be personally

liable if sued and a judgement is

found against us?

NOTE: Our attorney does not feel the

other party has a case but as with

anything there are no guarantees.

Re: Customer threatening lawsuit - LLC disolving

Since you have an attorney who is presumably more familiar with all the facts, you should address this question to himn or her. Because the attorney knows all the facts, the advice from that person would be expected to be more reliable than advice from a board where only a few of the facts can be known.
