Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Damage to vehicle in parking lot
My car sustained over $275 in damages as I drove into a parking lot at my local Publix grocery store. The car came rolling down a hill directly at my car and there was no way for me to avoid it. I submited a claim to the store and they told me they have NO liability.
Is that true??

Re: Damage to vehicle in parking lot
If it wasn't their car, they have no liability. The landowner is not responsible for anything that happens on its property. They must do something negligent to have any responsibility. Sounds like whomever owned the car that hit you is liable, though.
