Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
dating service fees
I joined a dating service a couple of months ago after my husband of 22 years died a few months earlier. I tried to cancel it about a week after I signed up but they told me too bad that it was over three days and too late. Their service is terrible and they keep screwing things up and I find myself not wanting to date yet since my husband died. I don't know what I was thinking but I want to know if I don't pay them what could happen?

Re: dating service fees
It depends on the contract that you agreed to. Call and ask about cancellation provisions. Try to speak to a supervisor to explain what happened and about your loss. They could sue you for the fee -- but they may not bother doing so depending on the amount owed.
