Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Dry Cleaners theft
Dropped off an old valuable Chinese embroidered tablecloth at the cleaners some time ago. I have gone to collect it four times and they cannot find it. I bought it in Hong Kong 25 yrs ago. It will take $3000.00 to fly round trip to Hong Kong, hotel expenses, and $800.00 to buy another tablecloth fo the same quality. What do I do?

Re: Dry Cleaners theft
You don't get the airfare, only what the item was worth -- i.e., a 25 year old tablecloth, not a new one.
