Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
At the end of my 3 year auto lease, I decided to purchase the car. I was unable to buy the car from the leasing company because of florida law; I needed to go to a GM dealership. Much to my suprise, I was charged a dealers fee of $599. The agreement never stated any of this. It stated that at the end of the lease if I wanted to purchase the car I would need to pay the residual value, plus official fees(I take that to mean, registration, license government fees) and sales tax. Is this legal?
