Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
I have requested verification of debt and life of loan history and a QWR by certified mail, return receipt requested 3 times over the last 8 mths. I just now received a ''partial'' history. It is still imcomplete. The servicer is calling several times a day and has been for the last 8 mths. Is it $1000.00 per violation? Or can one only collect 1000.00 total in a countersuit. All phone records and all documentation I have. Is there a pro-bono lawyer out there for this type of lawsuit? I have very good documentation!

Re: Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
Why do you expect a lawyer to do this pro bono? Do you do your job for free?
Anyway, damages are per violation. You should contact a bankruptcy of FDCPA lawyer in your area and see if the lawyer is willing to collect fees through the lawsuit.
