Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
False Vin Number
I bought a used car from a dealership. while I was looking around I found a car that I liked. I copied down the Vin Number written on the buyer's Guide and checked on the net for any former problems, nothing came up. I then went and purchased the vehicle. After many problems with the car and the dealer, I realized that the vin number from my car was one number off. When I checked my correct vin number I found numerous problems with this car. Is there anything I can do about this matter. The car has many problems and should have never been sold to anybody.

If the false information in the Buyer's Guide was provided by the Seller and was not simply copied incorrectly then you may have a claim for negligent misrepresentation. If you would like to discuss the matter further you may contact me at (305) 769-3000
