Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

I had a Florida licensed A/C company remove and install new ductowork. They provided a written 10 year guarantee on "workmanship". After 9 years I needed a new compressor and another company looked at the ductwork and said it was installed incorrectly. I contacted the original installer and they refused to even look at the ductwork and claimed the other A/C company damaged it to get the job. I have photos of the condition before the second A/C company even came to look at it. It cost me $1,500 to correct the installation. How enforceable is a "Guarantee of Workmanship"? The defects are obvious to anyone, but I am 70 yrs old and don't climb around in my attic. The defective installation was discovered within the ten year period.

You will need to sue them in small claims court if they are unwilling to fix the problem.
