Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Hlth Insurance Cancelled, but they continue to attempt to debit my bank account.
My children's health insurance was cancelled in September 2006, but the company still continues to attempt to debit my bank account. When they attempt to debit the account, the funds are not there and the bank charges me $35 for NSF, some months the insurance company makes 2 attempts, which equals $70 in fees. Needless to say, the account is overdrawn. I have contacted the bank and they advised me to contact the company. I have made several attempts to contact the insurance company and I keep getting the run arround. What can I do?

Re: Hlth Insurance Cancelled, but they continue to attempt to debit my bank account.
Have you contacted them in writing?
Do so. They should be responsible for charges, but you needed to give them notice.
Tell bank to block all attempts. If there is notrhing in the account, close it.
If they don't pay, sue in small claims court.
