Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Home Owner Rights
I just purchased a beautiful new home in Port ST. LUcie, FL and I already have an issue with a local fence company. On my move in day of APril 15th I had a fence company come out to give me a quote for a fence that came in just under $4,000. I signed off on the quote and the sales rep assured us that this was not a commitment to have the fence done and that we would need a 50% deposit. Last week I was out of town for business and returned today to a completed fence. I cannot afford $4,000 and they do not have financing available. I am willing to make payments to the company though. If they decide they want to take the fence down are they responsible for re-soding my lawn? Can they sue me for this? Please tell me what I should do here. Thank you.

What you can do depends on what you signed. Most likely, they will be willing to take payments. Call and try to work it out with them.
