Job closing it's doors

I was recently hired at a Hard Rock Casino in Tampa on January 3rd, after going through a 10 year background check and a 1 week orintation class they have now decided to shut down my department and move in gaming machines instead. I work in Banquets and we have no where to go in the company. Our last day we were told is March 19th. What am I able to do in this matter? There are a lot of people who are very upset by this. I was hired as O/C, which is on call or as needed, but that is not the case. I am always on the schedule, I am never called, and this week I work almost 40 hours. What is my legal right regarding this matter. The Seminole Hard rock just bought out Every Casino and eatery for 965 Billion dollars last month. How much more money do they need?

As a practical matter, there is nothing that you can do. Neither Florida law nor federal law protecting workers (or anyone else for that matter) applies to you. The Hard Rock Cafe is owned by the Seminole Indian Tribe and is on their reservation. Only Seminole Indian law applies. You cannot sue in the courts of the uUnited States. It is as if you left the US and went to a different country -- you just didn't need to go through customs to do so.
