Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Judgement
In 1988 My husband (now deceased) and I had a credit card (I think) for $3500. He stopped paying it. A judgement for $6600 was placed in 2001(I think). They have contacted my employer to garnish my wages for 25% weekly. Can they do this?

Re: Judgement
I would have to see the judgment and propopsed garnishment papers. There are many exemptions you can argue to keep them from garnishing. There may even be arguments to raise that you dont have to pay at all for this judgment. Feel free to call or e-mail me to discuss this matter further. Thanks.

Re: Judgement
If you were not the judgment debtor, then the action is improper.
