Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
I lent someone money to open a business. In return I was to get a 50 percent return. They never opened the business and moved with my initial money. Can I get my money back and press charges on them?

Without a written agreement it may be difficult to prove that the money was something other than a gift. As for the charges, you can contact the State Attorney or Sheriff's department in your area and file a report for theft, but again you may have a difficult time proving your case.
