Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
are we liable for giving out a name of a pool installer
my spa & pool business gave a customer who just bought an above ground pool from us the name of a installer who could install her pool. The poolwas installed and 4 days later the pool liner failed(partially to a poor install) she never allowed the installer or us to fix the pool, she just wanted her money back...which we declined to do, she is now taking us to court...are we liable for giving her the name and number of the pool installer? We give out names of electricans, screen installers, concrete people, outside business' people all the time to help our customers save time trying to find these people on there own.

Re: are we liable for giving out a name of a pool installer
unless you had a reason to believe that the installer was not qualified to perform the work or he was your employee or agent or you had some busineess relationship with him that would qualify as a joint venture (unlikely), then you should not have any liability.
