Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Hello, my name is Lisa
I transferred credits from my nursing school to attend a BSN program. My GPA was 3.08 and all the credits were accepted except that they changed my GPA to a 2.8. Is the University allowed to change the GPA from the other university to match their grading scale? The nursing school used a scale with A+ and A- etc the new university just awards A's, B's C's etc.?

Lisa, As far as I know there is no law prohibiting it. Generally, credits are transferred, not grades, but this will likely depend upon the internal policy of the institution. If you don't like it, discuss it with them. Regards,
