Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
I live in Florida and my daughter paid $6000 to a person for a car. She is in possession of the car but has yet to receive the title. We have a receipt for the car and now the person is stating that he wants to make sure she has a good driving record and wants to go with her to get the title transfered but has yet to produce that title. This has been going on since May 2009. She has left the state to reside in NY. She has made several repairs to the car and would like to keep it. I would like to know what legal actions we can take to get the title of the car.
Thank you for your response.
