Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Hi I live in florida and im dealing with a situation concerning my car. I wanted to trade in my vehicle which is fully paid off. I found out today that there has been a lien placed on my car from a debt my mother has. The car was bought in both of our names. I dont understand why i have to be crippled by her lien when the car has my name on it as well at the time of purchuse. Please help!

You joinly own the car, so she owns it also. A lien can be placed on her owned property, even if it is joinly owned (excpet marital property). Your mother is responsible for paying you on it.
