Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
I JUST MADE WHAT I THOUGHT WAS MY LAST CAR PAYMENT WITH DRIVETIME. THEN I'M INFORMED I OWE ALMOST $800 IN LATE FEES & INTEREST. I DID GET SEVERAL DEFERRED PAYMENTS DUE TO LOSS IN HOURS BUT I DON'T BELIEVE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGEd LATE FEES. THEY SAY I HAVE 13 LATE FEE CHARGES WHICH I KNOW IS NOT POSSIBLE. CAN THEY CHARGE ME LATE FEES FOR DEFERRED PAYMENTS? I NEVER RECEIVED ANY STATEMENT THAT TOLD ME I WAS BEING CHARGED THESE FEES. I'M SORRY BUT THIS IS REALLY ON THE LINE OF LOANSHARKING AND I NEED TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO.THANKS!!

You can be charged late fees and extra interest for deferred payments. It would be extraordinary if you weren't.
It is all in the fine print. Look at your agreement. Want to know the law? Sign up for our free newsletter on varies areas of the law by sending an email to [email protected] and requesting the newsletter, or go to www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com
