Mazda Screwed me
I went last month to trade in my 03 subaru for a mazda 6.The deal was made the car was traded.One month later I was to find out that madza had not paid off my subaru.Funny thing is that my father at the same time went to the same dealer and traded his saturn ion for a Mazda 6 also.sure enough they had not paid off his car either.so we contacted mazda they told us they could not help us that the owner of that dealer had filed for bankrupcy.Who can help and what do I do.

wow -- that's ugly. You should have received paperwork about the loan being paid off when you sold and took possession. Sounds like you did not. Contact bankrupcy counsel in your area immediately. You have a claim in bankrupcy court and may be entitled to special help because of the fraud.
Absent their invovement in the transaction, Mazda has no liability.
