Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

A mobile mechanic was hired to repair an issue with my vehicle. Mechanic said he had 7 years exp and did this type of repair before. Once the part was removed and reinstalled, my vehicle would not start. Mechanic states that nothing he did would cause that to happen and did not know what the problem was.

During the repair his negligence caused gas to flood the engine, rendering the engine useless and unrepairable. He was not aware of this at the time of repair but after speaking with several mechanics a few days later, removing spark plugs before repairing fuel injectors is protocol. The mechanic did not remove spark plugs and does not answer my calls.

I have all his information, witnesses that he did the repair and two seperate mechanics verifing the new issue with the vehicle, also as witnesses. The mechanic does not return my calls. Do I have a small claims case in Florida?

Repairs $1800+

Vehicle $2400
