Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Modeling Contract
I received a call from someone claiming to be a model scout, asking me to bring my daughter to a open casting. I took her and before I knew it they had me signing a contract for her to go to a Model Showcase to be held in Miami. After going home I started coming to my senses, later when we returned for another meeting I informed them I wanted to cancel the contract. I was told someone would contact me on Monday. What is the law for canceling a contract in Florida. I had to give them $640.00 deposit. The contract reads that any deposit is not refundable. please help, I have learned a lesson!!!

Re: Modeling Contract
My guess is that you will have to sue to get your money back. You can retain counsel or you can proceed on your own in small claims court.
