Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Motorcycle Purchase Problem!
I bought a motorcycle from someone i met in the first month of school here in orlando. the total price on the contract of sale was $5800. on dec. 6th, the date of purchase, i gave him $4000 and agreed on the contract of sale to pay 6 payments of $125.00 from january to june. His name would stay on the title until i would pay him off. i tried to contact him many times in january and the beginning of february to pay him but he avoided me. i lost my job, and phone in the beginning of february and he apparently called me many times but we live in a close area and go to the same college and didnt find me to sort anything out so i figured everything was ok. (he did say in february in a brief phone conversation, ''im not worried about you makeing the payments'') because he knew i'd be getting a school loan in june. march 20th he showed up at my door and i told him i lost my job and phone but he decided to proceed in taking the bike calling it a ''repossesion''. Now i am trying to contact him to give him some money but he wont reply. what kind of legal options do i have?

Re: Motorcycle Purchase Problem!
I assume that you have the bike. If not, you should. Start sending him what you owe to him. Send checks. You are obvioulsy behind in your payments. Just try to catch up. If you know where he lives, just deliver the checks. Bring someone with you, just so that there will be a witness if that becomes a problem.
