Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Is an oral contract binding? Agreed on a price of a new vehicle, including a trade-in. Went to sign purchase agreement and was told that they could not sell me the vehicle at the quoted price. There is just something wrong with that.

I am sorry to hear about this. Some oral contracts are binding, but can be difficult to enforce, as there is no proof as to what the terms of the agreement were (your word against theirs). Under the statute of frauds, contracts for the sale of goods over $500 are voidable if not in writing. Regards,
