Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Owners Fabricate Origins of Wines.
I work at a certain winery which shall remain nameless. We bottle and sell a large array of fruit and berry wines. When I first began working there a few months ago I was told many things that I believed to be fact, as I was told them by the owners and thusly used them those facts in selling the wines. I was recently moved from sales into production and came to find many of the things I, and the owners had been telling the customers were not true at all. For instance I was told a watermelon wine we make was made from 100% watermelon juice, squeezed fresh. Now I had never heard of watermelon juice but assume the owners were telling me the truth. Come to find out it is actually grapefruit wine with watermelon essence. I found this disturbing as that no one selling the wine knows this and there no buying the wine who might be alergic to grapefruit knows this. This is just one of many such examples, isn't this mislabeling and misleading sales tatic unmoral and above all illegal? Please let me know as I have been asked to sign a confidentiality agreement as to not let these dirty little secrets out and feel morally responsible to not sign it and seek appropriate action against this practice. Thank you. ~AR

Re: Owners Fabricate Origins of Wines.
Please give me a call. Sounds like there might be claims against them. Might also want to consider whistleblower claims.
