Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Paid $279,500 for a boat and they won't give us a boat or our money back
We paid $279,500 for a commercial tour boat. They did not deliver by the delivery date. After 60 days we asked for our money back, the contract said they had to give us our money back if they hadn't delivered in 60 days. They won't give us our money or a boat which they have one ready. We have filed a lawsuit. Their partners are talking reorganization. What does that mean? Can we legally post a message on a message board warning people about them? Our attorney did not know the answer. They want to pay us $30,000, 8% interest for 1 year and the rest over 5 years. They only want to guarantee 50%.

You have counsel. Discuss it with him/her.

I agree with Mr. Rosenfeld. Florida Rule of Professional Conduct 4-4.2 would forbid us from talking to you, knowing that you are represented by counsel, and wihtout your counsel's consent. Sorry,
