Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Quick question u have a friend who is incarcerated in the Monroe County Detention Center in Key West,Fl and I sent him an icare package for which I was charger a shipping and handeling fee of $6.00. The packages are actually filled on the detention center premices. My question is can they charge a shipping and handelung charge when the package is really not being shipped but carried up maybe to stories. Thanks in advance for all your help. Daniel Adkins

It is a shipping and "handling" charge. They did have to "handle" it. Yes, they can charge you for this. It was part of the contract between you, and you accepted it.
