Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Can I get a refund of my money I sent for a 50% deposit towards an international sailing trip which I had to cancel. Even if the company has a posted refund policy? I never received any travel documents and there is no signed contract. The company operates out of the state of Florida.

Have you tried to contact the company? If they have a stated refund policy, you may be facing an uphill battle. However, it is always worth it to try to negotiate -- especially in today's world of sites like Tripadvisor that allow you to advise future travelers against choosing certain companies when they are not reasonable with their travelers' requests.
