Refusal to send refund

I ordered furniture via the internet on 05-31-04 worth $1800.00 through a florida company. the furniture never arrived due to shipping problems and after 4 months i cancelled my order and wanted a refund. i have sent numerous emails, returned a fax sent by them for my money & still no refund. am i able to get my money back? or due to the fact it is florida (i live in Ca) & i ordered through the internet with a personal check (they cashed within 2 days) am I going to suffer a loss. any help or advice would be appreciated, needless to say it has been very frustrating.

You can retain counsel and sue in Florida or you can sue in Ca. Ca. would have what is known as 'long arm jurisdiction' If you need more information submit a new question or email me.
