Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Renewal of Judgement
I signed an equipment lease for a lawn mower in Orange County, FL in 1994 under the business of ''my name'' dba Total Ground Creations. The business went under and the mower was reposessed with an outstanding balance. A judgement was placed against me in the state of CA on Dec.11, 1996 for the outstanding balance of $6,876.72. I recently received a ''Notice Of Renewal Of Judgment'' from the Superior Court of CA. The amount is $12,511.66. This will extend the judgement for another 10 years. What course(s) of action can I take to prevent this? I have 20 days to respond.

Re: Renewal of Judgement
Your question relates to Ca. law not Fl. accordingly, I can not provide you with advise other than to ask a Ca. lawyer.
