If your landlord has a biting dog, he is liable. An injured party would have to prove that you knew of the hazard, and that you had the power to mitigate the hazard, but failed to do so, in order for you to be liable. You would be smart to send your landlord a registered letter stating that his dog is creating a safety hazard to your clients, tell him that he must get the dog out, and then start looking for a new landlord.
