Re: rental furniture

Rented items can be a real nightmare. Not only can the furniture company file an action against you to turnover the furniture (known as replevin), but they can actually file a criminal complaint under florida Statute 812.155(3) against your sister and possibly allege an accessory complaint against you.

Your best choice at this point is to turn over the furniture, and go buy yourself a piece at a time. Renting furniture is almost always bad news. Bad from a legal perspective, and bad from a financial perspective.

Re: rental furniture

They can probably come get the furniture. They can sue you for what is owed. Next time, make the payments yourself.
