rental merchandise
if i signed a rental agreement with buddy's home furnishings and the store closed and sold my account to rent a center whom i would never agree to rent from and did not sign contract with do i owe them

Yes, you do. You have the items rented, they are just receiving the payments. What could possibly be your objection?
