Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
satellite service contract
A satellite company promised a specific service at a set price on the phone, reportedly on a recorded line. Then after the installation was done they added additional charges and increased the monthly fee. What are my rights to force them to offer me what they did on the phone or to cancel the contract. The installation was yesterday, do I have a certain amount of time to cancel the contract? Thank you.

Re: satellite service contract
See what your contract says. It probably allows for some type of three-day right of recission.
Also, by federal law, you can cancel any contract that occurs by phone by sending a written or faxed cancellation within three days of the sale.
