Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
I signed a contract with a dog rescue organization about 6 months ago when we adopted our pet Gracie. The contract states that we have to return the dog to them if we no longer can keep/take care of the dog. We have serious financial and medical problems and are not able to keep the dog any longer. I contacted the organization in late March and they still have not allowed us to return the dog even though the contract states," if you no longer can take care of the dog it must be returned to us IMMEDIATELY. I continue to e-mail the rescue organization but all I get is excuses as to why they can't take her back. I have tried to follow the contract to the letter of the law but can't get them to do the same. We have a no kill shelter around the corner from our house but I can't take the dog there because of the contract wording.
Can you help us? We are desperate and need to give the dog back now as we can't afford to keep her any longer and I have been in the hospital three times in the last 6 weeks. We live in Sarasota but the rescue organization is located in Largo Florida.

Just deliver the pet to them.
Bring them the pet and if they refuse her, take her to the no-kill shelter.
